Camp reachAbility

Camp reachAbility is committed to offering individuals with cognitive and physical disabilities the best possible summer camping experience. In partnership with the Department of Community Services we are invested and excited to provide an exceptional residential camping service to individuals of all abilities, aged 12 years and older.

Summer Camp begins mid-June in the Valley and the first week of July in Cape Breton and both camps end in late August. Each camp session is five nights in length and has a maximum of 30 campers (3:1 camper to counsellor ratio). Campers are grouped with peers for their camping session.

reachAbility’s goal continues to be equalizing the playing field by removing both architectural and attitudinal barriers. Our judgement-free camps offer activities from yoga to gardening, swimming to experiential art classes.

reachAbility campers are free to be! Just like anyone else.
